Direct measurement of heat generated during discharge/overcharging while holding the battery temperature constant, provides battery power management data with iso-BTC. Batteries of different sizes and shapes (largest dimension over 55cm) can be tested.

iso-BTC is a stand alone calorimeter for generating thermal management data under isothermal conditions.  It measures the amount of energy generated during discharge while holding the battery temperature constant. The battery pack is integrated with a cycler so that different charging/discharging routines can be programmed.

Specially designed for safety testing of large and small scale (Li-ion & similar) batteries and components, the BTC is an evolution on standard "ARC-type" (TM) adiabatic calorimeters.
